Project 5 Recap

Post Project Thoughts on Meet Sprocket Corresponding blogpost can be found here:  https://www.awittybarb.com/2021/04/meet-sprocket.html What Went Well The model was easy to assemble. Photos were easy to set up and take. Photos turned out well. What Did Not Go So Well I didn't start until a week or so into the timeline, but that worked out okay in the end. Overall Thoughts I want to buy the rabbit music box now, but will wait a month or so. Migraines also kill motivation to do anything, but I seem to have built a habit of taking photos, so that's helping some. Moving Forward I think I want to plan a 1 month project to go along with the weekly projects.

Project 6 Recap

Post Project Thoughts on Cherry Blossoms Corresponding blogpost can be found here:  http://www.awittybarb.com/2021/04/cherry-blossoms.html What Went Well Managed to take pictures before a windy rain story knocked all the petals off the trees! Took pictures every morning and most afternoons. It was nice to have a reason to leave the house, if only to go into the yard. Photo editing in Lightroom is pretty easy. Finally figured out how to do it on my phone.  What Did Not Go Well I think everything went pretty well... so nothing for this category this time. Overall Thoughts I'm very happy I took the pictures daily. I think I improved with angles and focusing. I also managed to capture some pictures of bees! Moving Forward I'd like to have less of a focus on plants and flowers themselves. Maybe limit to one post focusing on that per month. I also need to continue learning to use my camera and resist the urge to buy a new camera lens...

Project 6: Cherry Blossoms

A simple project with a simple plan. Project Description Reason for project: To track the blossoming of the cherry trees in the yard. Budget: $0 Items to Buy: Nothing! Tools needed: Camera, Computer, Lightroom Timeline: 5 days, post due April 8th Deliverables: A variety of photos of the cherry tree. Maybe some photos of butterflies? Potential Issues I'm misjudging the blossoming of the tree. It has buds starting to open now, but it might not blossom until next week. Massive rain storm knocking down all the flowers (this has happened before). Project Team Me Mr. Snaps To Do Take photos daily. Edit photos. Write blog post. Post blog post. Share to Instagram. Potential Timeline April 4th through 8th: Take photos of the cherry tree(s). April 6th through 8th: Edit photos. April 7th: Draft up blog post. April 8th: Share blog post.

Project 5: Amadeus's Best Friend

A slightly more complicated project, a slightly more involved project plan. Project Description Reason for project: Amadeus needs a friend.  Budget: $40 Items to buy: Kit to assemble the friend. Tools needed: Tools from the kit, camera, computer, Lightroom Timeline: 13 days, post due April 15th Deliverables: Instagram timeline photos of Amadeus assembling his best friend; a blog post introducing Amadeus's new friend. Potential Issues The model does not arrive on time. Pieces from the model break. Amadeus might accidentally glue himself to his friend during assembly. Amadeus and his new friend might not get along.  Not enough time to assemble. Project Team Me, team leader and project manager. And photographer. And writer... Amadeus, model & assembler  Mr. Snaps, our lovely camera To Do Purchase model. Clear assembly space, set up for photography. Assemble model. Take pictures of introduction of the new friends. Edit photos. Post progress photos on Instagram. Writ...

Project 4: Recap

Post Project Thoughts on Amadeus in Spring Corresponding blogpost can be found here:  http://www.awittybarb.com/2021/04/amadeus-in-spring.html What Went Well Purchased Lightroom ($10/month, within budget!) and it isn't too difficult to use.  Amadeus posed well with the flowers. Weather cooperated. Having Lightroom makes it much easier to share the edited photos on Instagram since there is a corresponding Android app. What Did Not Go Well Didn't feel like writing much, so the text on the post is lacking and not the best. Overall Thoughts Lightroom should help with photo quality. Using my camera more often should help as well. Overall, I believe the post turned out well. Moving Forward I need to watch/work through the entire course I purchased on how to use my camera. I also should find a course on using Lightroom.
