Project 8: Create Gallery Wall

A simple project with a simple plan.

Project Description

Reason for project: I have several framed prints and various artworks that are just laying on the floor around the house. Also receiving 2 more in the mail soon.
Budget: $10
Items to buy: Maybe nails for hanging, but should have enough.
Tools/materials needed: All of the framed art, hammer, nails, newsprint, scissors, tape, camera, computer, lightroom
Timeline: 18 days, post due May 6th
Deliverables: Photos and blog post of the process and finished gallery wall

Potential Issues

  1. Newest art prints do not arrive by deliverable date; cannot start until they arrive so I know the dimensions.
  2. Indecision...

Project Team

  3. The small hammer

To Do

  1. Make templates of each print/art piece out of newsprint.
  2. Arrange templates on the wall.
  3. Rearrange dozens of times until I like the layout.
  4. Place nails.
  5. Hang the art.
  6. Spend too long making sure things are straight.
  7. Take photos.
  8. Edit photos.
  9. Make/post blog post.
